Tryouts for the French Settlement High School and Junior High Lions basketball teams have been announced for April and May.
Current 8-11th graders can tryout for the varsity team on May 15 from 6-7:30 p.m. Tryouts will be held at the Gerald C. Keller gymnasium.
Current 5-7th graders can tryout for the junior high team on April 25. Tryouts will also be held at the Gerald C. Keller gymnasium, and will be from after school until 4:30 p.m.
"New year. New team. Same expectations!", head coach Jake Bourgeois said.

The Lions are coming off a playoff run in the state 2A basketball tournament. The sixth-ranked Lions made it to the second round of the playoffs before being eliminated.
