The Livingston Parish Division II champions are gearing up for the Livingston Parish junior high basketball tournament.
The Lions ended their regular season 10-0 in district play, while the Lady Lions finished the regular season 9-1 in district. Both teams were named Division II champions. Division II is comprised of French Settlement, Frost, Doyle, Maurepas, Holden and Springfield.
Now the Lions and Lady Lions will take on other schools in the parish in hopes of earning the coveted parish tournament championship.
Both teams earned a first round bye and will begin play on Wednesday. The Lady Lions will take on the winner of Westside and North Corbin. The Lions will take on the winner of Southside and Westside.
The games will be played between Springfield and Albany. The championship games will be held Friday afternoon.
