Lions Bowling goes 2-0



French Settlement varsity bowling team dominated Tara High in a match on Thursday, Jan 26, at Premier Lanes coming away with the victory 26-1.

 

FSHS's Carson Childers, Cain Dempster, Aiden Planchard, and Byron Baxter won all three their matches for the series against Tara. Claire Fennel took home both points for her two matches as well. 

 

FSHS kept a comfortable lead over Tara in the first game, finishing 751-567 putting FSHS up 8-0 leading into the second game. 

 

No substitutions were made for FSHS in game two as the starters continued to outperform their Tara opponents with a substantial lead of 816-541. During game two the Lions kept a notable lead in each of their individual match ups: Claire Fennell +57, Bradley Bergeron +65, Byron Baxer +32, Cain Dempster +22, Aiden Planchard +35, and Carson Childers +64. At the end of game two, FSHS held the lead at 16-0.

 

Paige Fennell and Bradley Boeneke were substituted in for their first official matchup of the season in game 3. Paige gave up 1 point for the Lions by a narrow loss of only 11 pins (122 to 111). Bradley picked up her first win (124 to 105). Tara settled into a rhythm and only fell behind FSHS by 102 pins in game 3 with a score of 726-624. Final standing was 26-1.

 

The Lions moved to 2-0 with a final pinfall of 2293-1732.
