FSHS Sr. Beta Club receives national accolades

The French Settlement High School Sr. Beta Club has received two national accolades for their work during the 2021-2022 school year.

The club was named a School of Distinction by the national organization for their work in growing their membership by 10% over last year.

The club was also named a School of Merit, which is awarded to honor a Beta chapter's dedication and commitment to academic excellence by including members in all eligible grade levels.

Several French Settlement High School Senior Beta Club members will compete at the national Beta convention in Nashville after placing at the state convention in Baton Rouge earlier this year.

The FSHS Senior Beta club placed in the top five in 11 different categories at the 73rd annual Senior Beta Convention at the Baton Rouge Raising Canes River Center.

The beta club placed first in three divisions -- technology, painting and trading pin.

Betas across the nation will gather in Nashville, Tennessee for the National Convention this summer. All students placing in the top five at the state level are eligible for the national convention.
