FSHS named Beta Club Leadership School, qualifies for national convention

French Settlement High School's Beta Clubs have been named an Outstanding Leadership School during the Regional Beta Leadership Summit in Lafayette.


During the summit, select students from FSHS Junior Beta and Senior Beta participated in leadership sessions and challenges. They also attended motivational speaker sessions.


The Senior Beta Club qualified to compete at the Beta National Convention next summer in Kentucky. Students qualified in "Project Proposal", "Collaboration Connection" and "Lead Outside the Box".


For "Project Proposal" Beta members gave FSHS students a sneak peak leading up to the summit. They spread positive messages over campus to promote better mental health on campus.


Lead Outside the Box: Robbie Pearce, John Geiger, Ariel Rowell, Beau Armand


Collaboration Connection: Jaxson Latimer, Brian Martin, Brogan Cormier, Lauren Ackerman, Hailey Egnew, Kindal Coates


Project Proposal: Emma Gaudet, Jolie Auzenne, Berkleigh Cormier, Ella's Martin, Ava Peterson

The FSHS Junior Beta Club also qualified for the Beta National Convention next summer for "Project Proposal", "Collaboration Connection" and "Lead Outside the Box".


"We want to brag on the 20 students who exceeded the challenge that we presented to them just a short few weeks ago," Junior Beta sponsor Mrs. Natasha McMorris said.


Junior Beta students also attended leadership training sessions where they learned to work together as a team as well as motivational speaker sessions.
