French Settlement Roasting Company Partners with Local Students for a Unique Learning Experience

French Settlement High School recently welcomed a special visit from Mr. Billy and Mrs. Shannon LaGrange of the French Settlement Roasting Company, who joined Mrs. Olivier's class to share the fascinating journey of coffee from bean to cup. But this wasn’t just a lesson – it was the kickoff to a unique partnership with the school!

The LaGranges invited Mrs. Olivier’s students to partner with them in selling their signature Cold Brewed Coffee. The coffee will be sold on campus, first to teachers and, eventually, to students. What’s even better? All profits will go directly back into Mrs. Olivier's classroom, helping to fund field trips, maintain the class food pantry for weekly cooking lessons, and support other daily classroom needs.

This project offers students a real-world business experience. They won’t just be learning about coffee; they’ll be actively involved in selling it.

Mr. Vickers’ digital media class also contributed their creative talents to the venture by designing the logo for the “No Limit Lions Coffee Shop” and creating "Lion Bucks" – a unique currency that students will use to learn about customer service and money management. This partnership will give students hands-on experience with entrepreneurship, handling money, and customer relations.

French Settlement Roasting Company and Mrs. Olivier’s students are brewing up a great initiative that brings community and education together in a meaningful way. We’re excited to see the No Limit Lions Coffee Shop in action on campus! Check out the creative logo and Lion Bucks the students designed – they’re ready to serve up a great learning experience!
