The French Settlement High School Lady Lions basketball team advance to the regionals in the class 2A state playoffs after a decisive win over Mangham.

After a slow start, the Lady Lions (#10) found their groove to outpace the Lady Dragons.

The Lady Lions (21-8) are ranked 10th in the playoff bracket and will next take on Rosepine Lady Eagles (#7) on Monday, February 21.

The Lady Lions were crowned the district 10-2A champs after going undefeated in district play. The regular season ended with a decisive 55-16 win over Pope John Paul II.

This is the ninth consecutive year that the Lady Lions have made it to the state playoffs under head coach Daniel Martin.

The LHSAA Girls' Marsh Madness will take place February 28-March 5 at Southeastern Louisiana University's University Center. The District 2A state championship finals is set for March 4-5.
