French Settlement High School took Pi Day (March 14) to a whole new level this year, combining math, fun, and a little friendly competition—all for a great cause!
Students had the chance to celebrate 3.14 in the most delicious way possible: by donating $1 for a shot at pie-ing their math teachers! The event featured two brave educators—Coach Jackson Lebourgeois, a high school math teacher, and Mr. Erik Willie, a junior high math teacher—who stood (somewhat) willingly as their students lined up for the chance to land a shaving cream pie right in their faces.
The fundraiser was a huge success! The money raised will help support French Settlement’s brand-new golf team, giving student-athletes the opportunity to compete and represent their school in a growing program.
Between laughter, shaving cream-covered faces, and a whole lot of school spirit, this year’s Pi Day celebration was one for the books. A big thank you to Coach Lebourgeois and Mr. Willie for being such good sports and to the students who participated to make this event a memorable one.
Stay tuned for more exciting happenings at French Settlement High—who knows what next year’s Pi Day will bring?
